1960 Twenty Nations Form the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

On December 14th, 1960, eighteen European countries, joined by the United States and Canada, met in Paris to establish an agreement aimed to promote economic growth, enhance global trade, and strengthen collaboration among industrialized nations during a critical era of post-war reconstruction and economic integration.
