2008 Kevin Rudd Apologizes to Australia’s Aboriginal Peoples

On February 13th, 2008, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd made a historic apology to the Aboriginal peoples for the mistreatment they suffered under previous governments. The apology acknowledged the lasting harm caused by policies such as forced child removal and land dispossession.
