1923 Adolf Hitler's Beer Hall Putsch Fails in Germany

On November 8, 1923, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party attempted to overthrow the Weimar Republic in Munich with the Beer Hall Putsch. The coup was swiftly crushed by Bavarian authorities, and Hitler was arrested and sentenced to prison. Although the insurrection failed, it became a significant moment in Hitler’s political career, providing him with national attention and helping to pave the way for his eventual rise to power.
