1936 Hoover Dam Is Completed
On March 1, 1936, the Hoover Dam was completed on the Colorado River at the Arizona–Nevada border. This monumental engineering achievement revolutionized water storage and hydroelectric power generation in the American West, playing a key role in the region’s economic development and infrastructure expansion.
