1946 Nürnberg Trials Executions
On October 16, 1946, following the end of World War II, ten of the twelve highest-ranking Nazi officials sentenced to death were hanged, including Joachim von Ribbentrop and Ernst Kaltenbrunner. These executions were part of the international tribunal's efforts to bring Nazi war criminals to justice. This marked a significant moment in post-war retribution and accountability.
