1962 Cuban Missile Crisis Ends
On October 28, 1962, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev agreed to US demands, halting the delivery of nuclear missiles to Cuba. This decision effectively ended the tense standoff known as the Cuban Missile Crisis, which had brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. The resolution marked a significant moment in Cold War history.
