Last Salem trials executions
1692 Last Executions During the Salem Witch Trials
On September 22, 1692, Salem executed the final eight victims of the witch trials. This marked the end of a period of mass hysteria fueled by religious fanaticism and fear. In total, 20 people were killed during the trials, most by hanging.
