1941 Babi Yar Massacre Begins in Nazi-Occupied Kiev

On September 29, 1941, in one of the darkest chapters of World War II, Nazi forces initiated the mass execution of over 33,000 Jews at the Babi Yar ravine outside Kiev. Over the course of two days, the massacre became a symbol of the Holocaust's brutality, as Nazi soldiers systematically murdered the Jewish population, leaving a legacy of terror that continues to haunt history.
